Corporate partners Scott Barshay and Andrew Krause were featured in a Q&A on Paul, Weiss’s M&A practice in the 2023 edition of “Practice Perspectives: Vault’s Guide to Legal Practice Areas.” In the Q&A, Scott and Andrew discuss what drew them to M&A, what a typical day is like and some misconceptions about the practice area.
“One misconception is that you have to have a certain type of personality, background and negotiation style to be a successful M&A lawyer. Nothing could be further from the truth,” Scott says. “At Paul, Weiss, we believe [that] diversity of thought, background and experience is not only incredibly valuable, but essential to innovative lawyering and problem solving.”
