The thing that strikes you the most about Paul, Weiss is the depth of the practice. They just have a large number of senior partners, all of whom are of an outstanding quality.

Bankruptcy partner Kelley Cornish was featured in a Q&A in Lawdragon as part of its “Lawyer Limelight” series. In the interview, Kelley discusses how she got her start as a bankruptcy and reorganization lawyer, some significant cases in her career, and her motivation for coming to Paul, Weiss—the firm’s rigorous lateral partnership process and its commitment to social justice, diversity and inclusion. In particular, she highlights U.S. v. Windsor, in which Paul, Weiss convinced the U.S. Supreme Court to strike down the Defense of Marriage Act as unconstitutional, paving the way for same-sex marriage. "It’s actually unbelievable to me, that in my lifetime, Linda and I were able to get married and have our boys, and I’ve adopted my boys and everything else. The fact that my own law firm was the catalyst for that is astonishing, to this day,” Kelley said.
