Paul, Weiss Adds Nationally Prominent Intellectual Property Lawyer

Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP announced today that J. Steven Baughman is joining the firm as a partner in its litigation department, resident in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Baughman's practice will focus on patent and trade secret disputes, as well as trademark, copyright and other complex commercial matters.

Mr. Baughman has been recognized as a leader in his field byIAM Patent 1000andLaw360. He has been counsel of record in more than 145 Covered Business Method,Inter PartesReview and Post-Grant Review proceedings, including more than 45 proceedings that have been fully adjudicated before the PTAB, and in eight of the first nine Covered Business Method trials to be argued before the PTAB. He has not lost a single PTAB case on behalf of a challenger, obtaining final decisions that have invalidated every claim ruled on by the Board.

Mr. Baughman received a B.S.E., Tau Beta Pi, from Princeton University and a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School.
