Golden Gate Capital Sells The Learning Experience to Harvest Partners

Paul, Weiss advised San Francisco-based private equity firm Golden Gate Capital in its sale of a majority stake in The Learning Experience (TLE), a leading provider of early childhood education, to funds managed by Harvest Partners, LP. Under the terms of the deal TLE’s management team, led by co-founder and CEO Richard Weissman, will continue to lead TLE and remain significant owners of the business; Golden Gate will also retain a minority position in TLE. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The Paul, Weiss team was led by corporate partners Jeremy Veit and Austin Pollet, and included, among others, tax partner Robert Holo; environmental partner Stefanie Gitler; intellectual property counsel Matthew Rosenberg; and executive compensation partner Lawrence Witdorchic.
