Liza Velazquez to Discuss the Legal Response to Sexual Violence Against Children at World Law Congress

Litigation partner Liza Velazquez will participate in a human rights panel, “Legal Response to Sexual Violence Against Children,” at the World Law Congress New York 2023 on July 20. Liza will be joined on the panel by Martin Baron, former editor of The Washington Post and The Boston Globe who oversaw the Globe’s groundbreaking investigation into widespread child abuse by Catholic priests as well as several leading lawyers from around the world.
The World Law Congress, hosted by the World Jurist Association, will bring together more than 200 global leaders, including heads of state, justices from supranational and national courts, policy makers, academics, lawyers, activists, students and other professionals to discuss the rule of law in a wide variety of areas and propose solutions.
The conference will take place in New York City from July 19-21 and focus on the theme “Peace Through Law.”
