Karen Dunn to Participate in Event on the Historic Trial Victory Against the Hate Groups Behind the “Unite the Right” Violence

Litigation partner Karen Dunn will participate in a virtual event, “#SuedANazi and won,” hosted by Integrity First for America (IFA). The event will celebrate the historic legal victory in IFA’s lawsuit against the white supremacists, Nazis and hate groups behind the “Unite the Right” violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August 2017. Karen, who co-led the trial team for the plaintiffs, will speak alongside co-lead counsel Roberta Kaplan of Kaplan Hecker & Fink, IFA Executive Director Amy Spitalnick and other special guests.

In Sines v. Kessler, nine brave plaintiffs who were injured in the violence during the rally won a major victory when the jury found every one of the defendants liable for a conspiracy to commit racially motivated violence under Virginia law, and awarded the plaintiffs over $25 million in compensatory and punitive damages.

The program will be held on January 5 at 8 p.m. ET.
