Paul, Weiss Partners with HIAS to Assist Refugees

Paul, Weiss launched a clinic to assist refugees in gaining lawful permanent residency status in the U.S., in collaboration with HIAS, a Jewish American nonprofit that provides humanitarian aid and assistance to refugees.

In the coming weeks, Paul, Weiss attorneys will interview refugee clients and prepare legal documents to assist in their adjustment of status applications. Attorneys will represent clients throughout the entire application process. Clients this year include individuals and families from El Salvador, Myanmar and Ukraine.

The Paul, Weiss team is supervised by corporate partner Manuel Frey and includes corporate counsel Lyudmila Bondarenko and Caitlin Kelly and associates Allison Flor, Rita Gilles, Cindy Kang, Kevin Miri, Abigail Sia, Jennifer Wang and Lanlie Zheng and executive compensation associates Joaquin Aguinaco, Madhura Bhat and Jordan Johnson. The clinic was organized by pro bono attorney Pradine Saint-Fort.
