Paul, Weiss Announces Election of Three New Partners

Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP is pleased to announce that three new partners have been elected to the partnership, effective January 1, 2017: David M. Klein, Brian C. Lavin and Richard C. Tarlowe. All are resident in Paul, Weiss's New York office.

"We are proud to announce the election of these extraordinary lawyers to partnership at the firm," said Brad S. Karp, chair of Paul, Weiss. "They bring subject matter expertise and a commitment to excellence to our partnership and to our clients, and will be valued additions to our firm."

David M. Klein will become a partner in the corporate department, where he handles a wide variety of public and private M&A transactions. In addition, Mr. Klein advises some of the firm's key private equity clients on joint ventures and other matters. Mr. Klein received a J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law, and a B.A. from Emory University.

Brian C. Lavin will become a partner in the corporate department, where he also focuses on M&A matters. Mr. Lavin received a J.D., magna cum laude, from Boston College Law School, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. Mr. Lavin received a B.A., cum laude, from Yale College. He also received an M.B.A. from the Carroll School of Management.

Richard C. Tarlowe will become a partner in the litigation department, where he focuses on white collar and regulatory matters. Before joining Paul, Weiss as counsel, Mr. Tarlowe was Chief of the Complex Frauds and Cybercrime Unit at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York. Mr. Tarlowe received a J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School, and a B.A., summa cum laude, from Duke University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
