DCP Acquires Stake in Datong Insurance Sales & Services

Paul, Weiss advised DCP Capital, in its purchase, alongside China Merchants Venture, ZWC Ventures and Huagai Capital, of a 32.98% stake in Datong Insurance Sales & Service Co., Ltd. from Anxin Trust. Datong is one of China’s leading insurance intermediaries.
As lead advisor in the court-supervised auction transaction, the Paul, Weiss team designed the deal structure and steered negotiations with various parties. The deal is valued at approximately $234.9 million (over ¥1.5 billion), and makes DCP the largest institutional shareholder in Datong.
