General Atlantic and ProSiebenSat.1 to Acquire The Meet Group

Paul, Weiss advised General Atlantic LLC in its acquisition, with German media company ProSiebenSat.1, of leading mobile dating app The Meet Group, Inc. in an all-cash transaction representing an enterprise value of approximately $500 million. Under the terms of the deal, The Meet Group will merge with matchmaking platform Parship Group, a portfolio company of GA and ProSiebenSat.1’s joint venture NuCom Group, which includes the Parship, eharmony and ElitePartner brands. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2020, subject to customary closing conditions.
