Paul, Weiss Adds Private Equity M&A Partner in New York

Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP announced today that Megan Ward Spelman is joining the firm as a partner in the Corporate Department, resident in New York. Ms. Spelman advises private equity sponsors, private companies and public companies on a wide variety of transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, investments, restructurings and general corporate matters.

Ms. Spelman has experience advising on private equity and public and private company transactions across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, information technology and consumer products. Her recent representations include, among others, advising American Securities in numerous transactions, including its acquisitions of Trace3 and United PF Holdings, LLC; The Jordan Company in several transactions, including its acquisitions of Potters Industries and TransImpact; Patient Square Capital in its acquisition of Summit Behavioral Healthcare; engineering firm TRC Companies, Inc. in its growth investment by Warburg Pincus; Good Sportsman Marketing Outdoors in its investment by Gridiron Capital; New Mountain Capital in its acquisition of Classic Collision; and North American Partners in Anesthesia in its acquisition of American Anesthesiology.

Ms. Spelman earned a B.A., cum laude, in Communication Studies and Film, Television and Digital Media from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a J.D., cum laude, from the New York University School of Law.
