General Atlantic Invests in Anthropic AI

Paul, Weiss advised General Atlantic in its Series F investment in Anthropic, an AI research company that builds AI systems and is the maker of popular AI assistant Claude. The $13 billion fundraising round, led by ICONIQ, values Anthropic at $183 billion post-money. The investment will expand Anthropic’s capacity to meet growing enterprise demand, deepen safety research and support international expansion.
 
The Paul, Weiss team is led by corporate partners Matthew Abbott and Ellen Ching, and includes litigation partner Katherine Forrest and tax partner Lindsay Parks.
