Piper Sandler to Acquire TRS Advisors

Paul, Weiss is advising TRS Advisors, an independent advisory firm founded by veteran restructuring banker Todd R. Snyder, in its sale to Piper Sandler Companies. TRS advises and executes restructurings, reorganizations and other complex financial transactions for public, private and governmental clients. Following the acquisition, Todd Snyder will be named global head of restructuring. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2020, subject to customary closing conditions. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The Paul, Weiss team includes corporate partner Sarah Stasny and counsel Nathan Sawyer; executive compensation partner Lawrence Witdorchic; tax partner Scott Sontag; and real estate counsel Barry Langman.
