Paul, Weiss was recognized for its role in Aon Corporation's agreement to purchase Hewitt Associates, Inc. in the "Big Deals" and "New Business" sections of the September 2010 issue of The American Lawyer.
In a $4.9 billion cash and stock transaction, insurance broker Aon agreed to pay $25.61 in cash and 0.6362 shares for each share of Hewitt Associates, a provider of payroll, consulting and outsourcing services. The transaction, which would be Aon's largest acquisition, is expected to close by the middle of November, pending approval from regulators and both companies' shareholders.
