Pro Bono Client Achieves Asylum Victory

Paul, Weiss obtained asylum for our pro bono client, a 17-year-old Salvadorean girl. The girl fled her home and sought asylum in the U.S. after she had been subjected to threats, violence and sexual assault by members of the Salvadorean criminal gang MS-13 who had targeted her because of her family. Paul, Weiss partnered with Kids In Need of Defense (KIND), a pro bono organization that provides legal counsel to unaccompanied refugee and immigrant children in the United States.
