HGI Announces Joint Venture with EXCO

Paul, Weiss client Harbinger Group, Inc. (HGI) announced a joint venture with EXCO Resources, Inc. (EXCO) for a total consideration of $725 million, creating a private oil and gas limited partnership that will purchase and operate EXCO's U.S. conventional oil and gas assets. HGI will have approximately 75% equity interest in the partnership.
