General Atlantic to Invest $498 Million in Reliance's Retail Business

Paul, Weiss is advising General Atlantic in its investment of INR 36.75 billion ($498.31 million) in Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL), a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd, India’s largest private sector company. Reliance Retail Limited, a subsidiary of RRVL, operates India’s largest, fastest growing and most profitable retail business, with approximately 12,000 stores. The transaction is subject to regulatory and other customary approvals.
