Vincent Viola Completes Purchase of Florida Panthers Hockey Club

Paul, Weiss client Vincent Viola, the chairman and CEO of VirtuFinancial, recently announced the completion of the purchase of the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League. Viola is the new chairman, principal owner and governor of Sunrise Sports & Entertainment (SS&E), the Florida Panthers Hockey Club, the BB&T Center and SS&E's additional operating entities. Viola will own the team along with Douglas Cifu, president and COO of VirtuFinancial, who will assume the role of vice chairman, partner and alternate governor.
