Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and Brookfield Infrastructure to Acquire Compass Datacenters

Paul, Weiss is advising Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan on its acquisition, alongside Brookfield Infrastructure L.P. and its institutional partners, of Compass Datacenters, LLC from RedBird Capital Partners and the Azrieli Group. The new ownership structure will provide Compass, which has been recognized as one of Inc. Magazine’s 5,000 fastest-growing companies for the past three years, with the strong operational and financial support to execute its sustainable and large-scale data center campuses across multiple regions.
The transaction is expected to close by the end of the year, subject to customary regulatory approvals and other closing conditions. Paul, Weiss advised Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan in its original investment in Compass in 2017.
