IBM to Acquire Apptio for $4.6 Billion

Paul, Weiss is advising IBM in its all-cash $4.6 billion acquisition of Apptio Inc., a leader in financial and operational IT management and optimization software, from Vista Equity Partners. The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2023, pending regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
The acquisition will accelerate the advancement of IBM's IT automation capabilities and enable enterprise leaders to deliver enhanced business value across technology investments.
