Paul, Weiss Hosts Annual Update on U.S. Legal Developments Affecting Canadian Companies
Matthew W. Abbott, Jay Cohen, Andrew J. Foley and Edwin S. Maynard, among others, have completed their annual seminar series in Canada: "Update on U.S. Legal Developments affecting Canadian Companies." Over 100 clients and contacts attended the seminars held in Montreal and Toronto on January 18 and January 20, which were moderated by Mr. Maynard.
Mr. Cohen presented on the Terra Firma trial and its implications for cross-border M&A transactions; Mr. Abbott discussed the post-financial crisis deal market; and Mr. Foley presented on SEC developments, in particular, the Dodd-Frank Act and its impact on non-bank Canadian companies.
