The Treasury Department has announced its own principles and proposals to address executive compensation, though the coverage is far broader than simply TARP recipients. Any resulting legislation is likely to apply to all U.S. public companies. At the same time, the SEC has announced that it intends to propose new disclosure standards relating to executive compensation.
