NEW YORK OFFICE POSITIONS

The New York office of Paul, Weiss is currently seeking lateral associates in the areas outlined below. Candidates must have excellent experience and academic credentials.

Tax: Associates with 2 to 7 years of experience to join our Tax Department.

Fund Finance Associate: Looking for a junior to midlevel associate to work with a close-knit team on fund financing and associated matters. The position is not partner track but does offer the opportunity for promotion. The candidate will work closely with a collaborative group that is dedicated to mentorship and professional development, in a cutting-edge practice with an exciting roster of private equity and credit fund clients. The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for learning, as well as experience working on debt finance transactions, experience drafting and negotiating closing documentation, and be able to work on multiple transactions simultaneously.

Antitrust Compliance Associate: Looking for an antitrust compliance associate to join our Corporate Department/M&A Group. Functioning under the supervision of a Counsel in the M&A Group, the candidate will have responsibility for preparing and filing HSR forms; coordinating multinational competition filings; analyzing transactions for reportability under the HSR Act and foreign competition regimes; reviewing, drafting, and revising antitrust-related contract provisions in transaction agreements; advising on permissible pre-closing and pre-clearance activities; and assisting transactional lawyers in the M&A and Antitrust Groups at various stages of the HSR and competition filings process. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in HSR and foreign competition filings compliance at a major law firm or in a large corporation’s in-house legal staff, strong academic credentials, and excellent attention to detail and communication skills. Prior experience as a staff attorney at the FTC or the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice is a plus.

Structured Finance/Securitization: Associates with 2 to 7 years of experience to join the Structured Finance/Securitization team within our Corporate Department/Finance Group.

Executive Compensation Associates: Associates with 1 to 6 years of experience to join our Executive Compensation Department.

Real Estate Associate: Associate with 3-4 years of experience to join our Real Estate Department.

M&A Associates: Associates with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our Corporate Department/M&A Group.

Capital Markets Associates: Associates with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our Corporate Department/Capital Markets and Securities Group.

Bankruptcy & Corporate Reorganization Associate: Associate with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our Bankruptcy & Corporate Reorganization Department.

Private Funds & Investment Management Associates Associates with 3 to 7 years of experience to join our Corporate Department/Private Funds Group.

JUDICIAL CLERKS

Serving as a judicial clerk offers an invaluable experience that we encourage associates to pursue. More than 100 of our current lawyers have clerked for federal or state judges, including justices of the U.S. Supreme Court.

Paul, Weiss lawyers who join the firm directly after completing a judicial clerkship will receive a bonus of $50,000. Individuals who have completed a clerkship of two years or more, or have completed two or more years of clerkships, will receive a $70,000 bonus.
