Our Summer Program Locations

Our summer program is based out of our New York; San Francisco; Washington, D.C.; London; and Toronto offices, where summer associates experience what it is really like to work at Paul, Weiss, immersing themselves in each office’s key practice areas and getting to know the lawyers at each location.

Summer associates at all of our offices will participate in a variety of fantastic social events, including at iconic venues within each location, like Shakespeare in the Park, tours of the capital’s landmarks and trips to wine country. There are also opportunities for summer associates from all of our offices to attend trainings and marquee social events at our New York office.

Learn more about our summer program offices, including our market-leading practices and the elite team of lawyers you will work alongside in each location:

New York

Our New York office serves as the firm’s headquarters, with nearly 800 lawyers working across all of the firm’s core practice capabilities: corporate, litigation, restructuring, tax, real estate, executive compensation and personal representation. Since 1875, the firm has been a leader in the New York legal world, playing a key role in transformational transactions and landmark litigation. Longtime clients include many of the city’s iconic companies and financial institutions. The office is home to members of Paul, Weiss’s market-leading transactional practices, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, investment management, finance, restructuring, capital markets, real estate, tax, executive compensation and personal representation, as well as many of our renowned litigators, including elite trial lawyers, nationally prominent white collar and regulatory defense lawyers, and preeminent securities litigation lawyers.

Washington, D.C.

Our Washington, D.C., office is home to one of the most highly respected litigation practices in the capital. The office features market-leading practices in general commercial litigation, antitrust, Supreme Court and appellate litigation, white collar and regulatory defense, anti-corruption and FCPA, sanctions/anti-money laundering, intellectual property, and cybersecurity and data protection. We regularly handle the most significant litigations nationwide and also work closely with our New York team to provide clients with a full suite of legal services.

San Francisco

Paul, Weiss’s San Francisco team represents some of the region’s most innovative companies and their investors on their most important business transactions and litigation. Clients include leading technology companies; public and privately held companies in life sciences, fintech, cryptocurrency and financial services; key investors focused on emerging technologies; and higher education institutions. The office is home to some of the Bay Area’s best-regarded trial attorneys, who have successfully handled several of the region’s most significant trials over the past few decades.

The London office is primarily focused on advising private equity clients on all of their legal needs throughout Europe. Our team has advised extensively on the complexities of private equity transactions through the full life cycle of an investment: acquisitions, take-privates, carveouts, add-ons, asset disposals, IPOs and eventual exits. Our largest and most sophisticated financial clients depend on our London team to advise them on the complex, multibillion-dollar matters that are critical to their global long-term success.

Paul, Weiss’s Toronto office is the hub of our Canada practice, which is among the largest of any U.S. law firm. Our lawyers in Canada and in the U.S. assist clients across a wide range of industries with their cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity and capital markets transactions. Because cross-border transactions often require an interdisciplinary approach, the Toronto office collaborates closely with all of the firm’s practice groups and global offices, providing counsel on U.S. securities laws, corporate governance, tax, employee benefits, litigation and arbitration, antitrust, intellectual property, project finance, restructuring, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, environmental and other regulatory and compliance matters.
