Corporate counsel Hans-Günther Herrmann published the article, "Supreme Court Interpretation Brings Major Changes to China's Contract Law," in the July 2009 issue of Asian Legal Business. The article looks at the practical impact of the Supreme People's Court of China's official interpretation of the PRC Contract Law, which was adopted in April 2009, and highlights the obligations of parties that provide standard form contracts, guidelines for adjusting liquidated damages, and the courts' power to shift the responsibility for obtaining government approvals from one contracting party to the other.
