China Business Law Journal Recognizes Paul, Weiss Transactions
Paul, Weiss is recognized for its role in three transactions named in China Business Law Journal's "2011 Deals of the Year" report. The winning deals include:
- Private Equity & Venture Capital -- Morgan Stanley PIPE investment in Yongye International, Inc., in which Paul, Weiss advised Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia in its $50 million equity investment in Yongye, a leading agricultural nutrient company in China;
- M&A: Inbound & Domestic -- Motorola's sale of its networks business to Nokia Siemens Networks, B.V., wherein Paul, Weiss advised Motorola in the sale of its networks business in China and Hong Kong; and
- Foreign Direct Investment -- Legendary Entertainment film joint venture with a mainland party, in which Paul, Weiss advised Goldman, Sachs & Co. in its role as financial advisor to Legendary Entertainment.
