Daniel Meade is a counsel in the firm’s Corporate Department and a member of the Financial Services Group. His practice focuses on transactional bank regulatory issues, including the Dodd‐Frank Act and all Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Reserve Board regulations and the Volcker rule, as well as bank powers, Basel capital adequacy rules, anti-money laundering compliance, sanctions and Bank Holding Company Act, Community Reinvestment Act, Federal Deposit Insurance Act and National Bank Act issues. Dan also regularly advises on bank M&A and affiliate transactions.

Prior to his law firm experience, Dan was a managing counsel at Wells Fargo and held various roles in government, including in the House Financial Services Committee and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. He is currently a member of the Board of Advisors of the UNC School of Law Center for Banking and Finance and the Executive Council of the Federal Bar Association’s Banking Law Committee.
