Mark Bergman Publishes Corporate Governance Advisor Article on Europe’s Sustainable Finance Landscape

Corporate partner Mark Bergman, along with Jean Rogers, founder and former CEO of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board, co-authored an article in Corporate Governance Advisor on Europe’s focus in recent years on sustainable finance. The article, “Financing Sustainable Growth in the European Union: Global Lessons,” sets out the various components that are shaping the sustainable finance landscape in Europe. The authors discuss the European Commission’s (EC) 2018 action plan for financing sustainable growth; the EC’s 2019 European Green Deal; several reports and regulations addressing sustainable finance considerations; and next steps concerning non-financial information reporting, among other things.
