Description of Program and Relief

Athens Community Council on Aging

During the COVID-19 outbreak, the Athens Community Council on Aging is providing drive-thru pick-up of food and commodity bags to individuals in need. Additionally, the Council is continuing to operate its Meals on Wheels program and provide grocery deliveries, transportation to medical appointments, buddy calls, and virtual activities.

Food and Commodity Bag Drive-Thru Pick-Up: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 11 a.m.–2 p.m.

All Other Services: Call 706.549.4850, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. to inquire

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

Priority is given to individuals 60 and older and persons with disabilities.
