Description of Program and Relief

God’s Love We Deliver

God’s Love We Deliver prepares meals on-site and delivers them directly to people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other serious illnesses who are unable to provide or prepare meals for themselves. In case it is unable to deliver regular meals in future weeks due to COVID-19, God’s Love is delivering emergency meal bags of shelf-stable food to its clients. All services are free without regard to income.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

Applicants may apply for meals on behalf of themselves, a loved one, a patient or client, or a member of their health plan.

Applicants or recipients must:

  • Live in New York City or Hudson County, New Jersey; and

  • Have been diagnosed with a “serious illness” as verified by a physician, physician assistant, or a nurse practitioner, confirming a physical and/or mental limitation that impairs the ability to cook and shop.

  • Individuals can check their eligibility status by completing God’s Love’s online survey here.
