Description of Program and Relief

Joint Response by the Santa Barbara Foundation, United Way of Santa Barbara County, and the Hutton Parker Foundation

The Santa Barbara Foundation, United Way of Santa Barbara County, and the Hutton Parker Foundation are leading a joint initiative to provide financial assistance to residents of Santa Barbara County who have been disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. The financial assistance is intended to pay for basic necessities, including food, clothing, and unexpected child care expenses.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

To receive financial assistance, individuals must (i) be residents of Santa Barbara and (ii) provide:

  • Employment information (including relevant information about loss of income);

  • Income or assistance received from other sources; and

  • Housing information.

After these materials have been submitted, applicants will be asked to attend a virtual meeting. Applicants should be prepared to provide supporting documentation and proof of identity at the virtual meeting.

Grants are processed on a rolling basis, generally within 15 business days.
