Description of Program and Relief

Salvation Army COVID-19 Pandemic Rent and Utility Assistance

The Salvation Army has designated funding to be provided for each unit in the Kansas and Western Missouri Division for COVID-19 response. Funds are allocated to assist residents with rent, mortgage, and/or utility bills.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

In order to qualify for assistance the applicant must:

  1. Have been directly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic creating financial hardship, including applicants who have:

  2. Lost, or are receiving reduced, income from employment.

  3. Unforeseen expenses due to COVID-19 pandemic such as health care co-pays, child care, etc.

  4. Provide tangible documentation of the COVID-19 related hardship listed here.

  5. Not have a present income that exceeds 200% of the poverty level.
