Description of Program and Relief

The Back Bay Mission Food Pantry

During the COVID-19 outbreak, the Back Bay Mission is continuing to operate its food pantry and provide utility assistance for those in need. The Back Bay Mission’s Micah Day Center for the Homeless is also providing shower, laundry, and mail services.

Dates Available

Food Pantry: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9 a.m.–11:30 a.m, and on Wednesdays from 1 p.m.–3 p.m.

Utility Assistance: Thursdays beginning at 9 a.m. (via phone)

Micah Day Center for the Homeless: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 8:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

Homeless individuals may access the food pantry once per week. Beginning in June, the pantry is providing homeless guests a food bag every other week. All others may access the food pantry once per month.

Individuals must provide:

  • Photo ID for all adults in the household; and

  • Proof of residence in one of the following ZIP codes: 39530, 39531 or 39540.
