The Hebrew Free Loan Society’s Coronavirus Financial Impact Loan

The Hebrew Free Loan Society Coronavirus Financial Impact Loan Program is providing interest-free loans of $2,000-$5,000 to residents of New York City’s five boroughs, Westchester, and Long Island who are facing financial challenges caused by the COVID-19 outbreak. These loans are intended to address lost wages resulting from an inability to work, child care costs associated with school closures, small business losses, and medical costs.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

Applicants must live in NYC, Westchester, or Long Island, and have annual pre-tax household income at or below the income levels listed below:

  • $84,065 for a one-person household

  • $96,025 for a two-person household

  • $107,785 for a three-person household

  • $119,945 for a four-person household

  • $129,605 for a five-person household

  • $139,150 for a six-person household

  • $148,810 for a seven-person household

  • $158,355 for an eight-person household

One guarantor is required for all loans.
