Description of Program and Relief

The Joseph House Food Pantry

During the COVID-19 outbreak, the Joseph House is continuing to operate its Crisis Center. Services available at the crisis center include a food pantry, a hospitality room (including shower and laundry services) for homeless individuals, and financial assistance for those in need.

Dates Available

Food Pantry: Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m.–11:15 a.m.

Hospitality Room: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Financial Assistance: Individuals should arrive at the Joseph House on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday mornings at 8 a.m. to apply for assistance.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

To receive food, individuals must:

  • Reside in Wicomico County; and

  • Provide a photo ID, proof of income, and a social security card for every member of the household.

Each eligible household can receive food one time per month.

To receive financial assistance, individuals must bring photo ID and documentation of need.

To access the hospitality room, individuals must be homeless.
