Description of Program and Relief

Wind Youth Services

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, Wind Youth Services is providing overnight emergency shelters for adolescents (age 12-17) and young adults (age 18-24). The organization is also continuing to operate its youth center in accordance with local and national social-distancing guidelines. Those staying at the shelters or registered with the youth center have access to warm meals, a health clinic, counseling, and assistance with obtaining vital documents (California IDs or birth certificates).

Youth Center: Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.–6 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays, 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; newcomers may enroll daily from 7 a.m.–3 p.m.

Adolescent Shelter: Open 24/7

Young Adult Shelter: Open 24/7

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

Services are available to individuals aged 12 to 24 who are homeless.
