Description of Program and Relief

Non-Emergency Transportation (NET) Program

The Non-Emergency Transportation (NET) program provides free rides to and from doctor’s appointments and other covered Medicaid services. A ride must be scheduled 48 hours in advance, although exceptions may be made in urgent medical situations.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

In order to use NET, an applicant must be on Medicaid or ARKids First-A, must try to find another ride first, and must have no other way to reach an appointment. Those in nursing homes or homes for those with intellectual disabilities are not eligible for NET.
