Description of Program and Relief

City of Riverside, California: 90-Day Moratorium on Collection of City Fees; Suspension of Utility Shutoffs

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Riverside will stop collecting city fees for 90 days, from March 18, 2020 through June 16, 2020. Payments will still be due after the 90-day moratorium, but there will be no interest or penalties. Fees include parking tickets, business-license fees, and code enforcement fees.

Additionally, Riverside Public Utilities will not shut off utilities such as water and electricity for nonpayment for the duration of the local emergency.
