Description of Program and Relief

Employer Assistance Grant Fund for Small Businesses

The County of Los Angeles is launching a $500,000 Employer Assistance Grant Fund to help LA County businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Nonprofits and social enterprises (businesses with specific social objectives that serve its primary purpose) are also eligible. The Fund may award businesses up to $10,000 based on demonstrated need. Approximately 25% of awards will be reserved for social enterprises that demonstrate a need and ability to serve vulnerable populations.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

Businesses must (1) be able to produce tax returns; (2) have been established on or before December 4, 2019; and (3) have between 2 to 50 full-time employees.

Businesses in the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County will be given priority.

Application Deadlines (If Applicable)

Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and applications will no longer be accepted once 150 applications are received.
