Description of Program and Relief
N-95 and Surgical Mask Stockpile for Essential Workforce
On July 22, 2020, Governor Newsom announced that he has directed the California Department of Public Health and California Office of Emergency Services to increase California’s strategic stockpile by early fall (120 million additional N-95 respirators and 300 million additional surgical masks). The Governor indicated this will ensure California can provide a reliable supply for such individuals in these industries.
