Description of Program and Relief

Quarantine Shelters for Individuals Experiencing Homelessness

The City of Berkeley is working to provide ongoing relief for individuals experiencing homelessness during the COVID-19 crisis. The City has set up eighteen trailers—eight located at 1281 University Avenue and ten located at 701 Harrison Street—to provide isolation and shelter for COVID-19 positive or presumed positive individuals. The City is also using a property at 1654 Fifth Street to provide isolation for individuals experiencing homelessness.
