Description of Program and Relief
Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (“WIC”)
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a nutrition program that provides nutritious groceries, nutrition education, breastfeeding support and other services free of charge to Colorado families who qualify. WIC recipients are to contact their local WIC office for assistance involving individual accommodations. Colorado’s WIC does not collect information about citizenship or immigration.
The Colorado WIC program was in effect before the COVID-19 outbreak and is still providing services during the outbreak.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions
This program is available to Colorado residents who are pregnant women, mothers breastfeeding a baby under 1 year of age, new mothers who had a baby or were pregnant in the past six months, and children under five years of age and their caregivers.
