Description of Program and Relief

COVID-19 Residential Mortgage Relief Program With Participating Lenders

Connecticut’s Department of Banking has reached an agreement with over 50 credit unions and banks in Connecticut to offer mortgage relief to Connecticut residents that are impacted by COVID-10. Participating financial institutions are offering mortgage-payment forbearances of up to 90 days and waiving or refunding mortgage-related late fees by up to 90 days. Financial institutions will not start any foreclosure sales or evictions, and those that take advantage of this relief will not have their credit score impacted.

Only participating financial institutions are a part of this program. The full list of participating institutions is available here.

This program is only available residential mortgages at this time.
