Description of Program and Relief

Water Service Protection

On March 23, 2020, DeKalb County CEO Michael L. Thurmond declared a state of emergency and ordered that water services for residential and business accounts should not be terminated due to non-payment, during the state of emergency. The relief protects against service termination, but customers remain responsible for paying their water bill.

Effective March 24, 2020, until the executive order is no longer in effect or until further notice.

Customers of DeKalb County Utility Customer Operations.
