Description of Program and Relief

O’ahu Driver Licenses Extension

Honolulu’s Department of Customer Services has extended by 90 days the expiration date on driver licenses, learner permits and state identification cards issues on O’ahu. The Department is also allowing drivers age 72 and older to renew their two-year licenses by mail under certain conditions

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

The extension applies to all valid O‘ahu driver licenses, learner permits and identification cards that expire in the months of March, April, May, and June.

Application Deadlines (If Applicable)

Extension is automatic.

Drivers 72 years of age and older who do not have a previously reported medical condition may renew their licenses by mail.
