Free Emotional Support Text Line

In light of COVID-19, the Illinois Department of Human Services’ Mental Health Division has launched a free emotional support text line, Call4Calm. Illinois residents experiencing stress and mental health issues related to COVID-19 can text the hotline number, and within 24 hours, they will receive a call from a counselor employed by a local community mental health center. The text line can also be used to receive information on support and services related to unemployment, food, or shelter.
