Illinois Medicaid

The Illinois Department of Human Services provides health care for qualifying Illinois residents through Medicaid. The program works to ensure that eligible adults and children have access to needed health care services by enrolling and paying providers to deliver covered services to eligible recipients.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

Applicants must meet certain citizenship and immigration criteria, and have an annual household income below certain thresholds. Additionally, an applicant must either:

be over the age of 64; or

be pregnant or have a child 18 or under; or

be blind or disabled; or

have a child, parent, or spouse in their household who is blind or disabled.
