State Property Tax Exemption Deadline Extension

Description of Program and Relief

The state property tax deadline exemption has been extended until July 1, 2020. The extended application deadline includes the following property tax exemptions: Property of Institutions and Organizations; Estates of Veterans; Solar and Wind Energy Equipment; Exemption of Homesteads; and Exemption of Business Equipment.

Government or Lead Agency

Office of the Governor of Maine and the Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services.

Dates Available

Effective immediately.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

Property tax payers in Maine for whom the above listed exemptions apply.
