Description of Program and Relief

Medical Assistance (MA) and Maryland Children’s Health Insurance Program (MCHP)

Medicaid, or Medical Assistance (MA) pays the medical bills of low-income individuals through state and federal funds. Maryland Children’s Health Insurance Program (MCHP) provides full health benefits to children up to age 19 and pregnant women of any age who meet income requirements. These existing programs may be available to you if you have lost your job or income due to COVID-19 and meet the general eligibility requirements.
