Description of Program and Relief

Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) Economic Assistance

Minnesota provides temporary economic assistance to eligible families. Although no specific guidance has issued with respect to COVID-19, affected families may qualify if they meet eligibility requirements (below). The amount of cash benefit will depend on the applicant’s family size and region of the state in which the family resides.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

Generally to be eligible, families must have a minor child (or be pregnant). Eligibility also depends on household income, and there is an asset limit of $10,000 per household.
